We met Dawn when we were considering adopting another Dachshund, but weren't sure we were ready after the recent loss of our sweet Sally. We met two wonderful dogs, but just didn't feel ready. Dawn encouraged us to meet one more dog, Maggie. The instant we (me, my husband, and Charlie, our boy Dachshund) met her, we knew it was meant to be. We can't thank Dawn enough for bringing this short, spotted, waggly girl into our lives. Even the cat loves her! Dawn was great with helping us get Maggie adjusted to her new home, too. A dog who ends up with Dachshund Rescue of St. Louis is a lucky dog indeed - they are so well cared for while being fostered, and Dawn makes sure each dog ends up in his or her perfect forever home.
